Low Carbon Uniview Headquarters
2024-12-20

In April 2023, the Uniview headquarters base, located in Binjiang District, Hangzhou, was put into use. The construction fully considered low-carbon requirements, applying self-developed product solutions to save energy, monitor and analyze energy consumption, and reduce resource waste. The goal is to create a greener office and management experience.

① "Management-Savvy" Campus System
The Uniview Smart Campus Digital Twin Platform, with a 3D map, empowers operations and maintenance, allowing real-time monitoring of electricity, water usage, and equipment status. It integrates with building automation, intelligent lighting systems, and more, significantly reducing labor costs and improving campus management efficiency.

② "Breathing" Green Campus
a. The curtain wall glass uses Low-E double-silver coating, which improves energy-saving and heat insulation by 30% compared to standard single-silver film. The exterior decoration of the curtain wall protrudes about 50 cm, providing excellent shading and reducing sunlight heat radiation, effectively lowering air conditioning cooling loads.

b. Rainwater Recycling: The campus features a 345 cubic meter rainwater recycling system underground, which processes rainwater for use in the irrigation system. This not only saves irrigation water but also reduces energy consumption for municipal rainwater treatment.
c. Additionally, the campus introduces water-cooled chillers, air-conditioning hot and cold water circulation systems, cooling towers for transitional seasons, and fresh air heat recovery systems to further reduce energy consumption.

③ "Paperless" Meeting Equipment
a. The carbon footprint of a single A4 sheet of paper is 16 grams of CO2 equivalent. Converting paper information into digital form and promoting paperless office processes combined with smart office hardware and software is an effective way to achieve low-carbon office practices.

b. Uniview meeting rooms adopt an online reservation system, allowing real-time monitoring of availability. With Uniview's self-developed smart office series products, various online and offline meeting needs are met. Features like wireless quick projection, easy-to-scan meeting minutes, and smooth audio-visual and interactive experiences make modern office work convenient and enjoyable, promoting both technology and environmental sustainability.

④ "Effortless" Energy Saving and Cost Reduction
a. The office area’s air vent is marked with red ribbons, indicating that the fan is on and reminding staff to turn it off after work.
b. Electrical switches have three-color labels: Red means "do not turn on," Yellow means "turn on if necessary," and Green means "normally on during working hours." Employees are reminded to turn off the lighting in their workstations after hours.

c. Energy-saving actions are standardized based on the building's mechanical and electrical system operation modes and actual office needs. These standards are regularly updated and documented; through main control systems and property management inspections, energy-saving measures are effectively implemented.

⑤ Charging Stations for 10% of Parking Spaces
The campus has 800 parking spaces, with 10% equipped with Uniview charging stations.
