As a leading video surveillance manufacturer, Uniview has continuously attended Intersec for five years and launched new technologies every time. This year, Uniview released the latest products and technologies such as 8MP/5MP Series, Hybrid NVR, all-in-one VMS – “Unicorn” as the highlighted products; ultra 265, retail, SMB, building solution as the integrated solution. Aaron Chao, Marketing director of Uniview International Business Department, has given us more details about it.

What is Uniview strategy for 2018 in Italy and in the world?

This year, we focus not just on national distributors but also on regional distributors/resellers and installers. That is why we will start a new communication towards them, to get closer and offer better support to them. In Italy, we are now working with our national distributor and hope to organize more road shows and technical conferences during year 2018. Moreover, we are now planning to open some branch offices around the world to better support local market.

How do you see General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and how does Uniview intend to ensure cyber security?

On 1^stDecember, 2017, Uniview and TÜV Rheinland signed the agreement which marked that the strategic partnership was officially established. Uniview became the first company in security industry who cooperated with TÜV Rheinland to work on the certification about product privacy protection. This is a clear sign of the company commitment towards cyber security and data protection.

What products are you presenting here at Intersec?

Uniview is the first one in industry who enabled 5MP series with Starlight technology. 5MP StarView Series is a new generation of StarView Series which redefined Starlight technology with outstanding image at super low illumination during the night for both static and moving scenes.

Then here we release our Hybrid NVR as well. It is not only a single product, but also a five in one solution which supports IP/CVBS/AHD/TVI/CVI. It supports analog camera with up to 5MP resolution and IP camera up to 4MP resolution. Hybrid NVR indicates that Uniview is expanding to more completed solutions, and is able to help customers acquire larger market.

Finally, UNV VMS Unicorn is the most powerful VMS server which can support up to 1000 channels per server and 14 HDMI outputs with decode cards for video wall. With hot standby server, central backup and RAID, Unicorn guaranteed the video surveillance system’s reliability. With such abundant and powerful functions, it would be very reliable for medium to large scale solutions such as building, campus, industry, park and so on.

All UNV NVRs are featured with UNV’s pioneering cloud upgrade. With just one click on NVR or app, users can keep system updated with latest firmware. It’s extremely easy to maintain.
